Embark on a cross-border adventure from Argentina to Chile and discover the beauty of Pucon, a city where lush forests meet shimmering lakes.

Private Day Trip to Pucon

Our journey begins with a pickup at your hotel in downtown San Martin de los Andes at 7:30 am. We will travel along National Route 234, passing Junín de los Andes, and after 40 minutes, we will cross an araucaria forest along the Malleo River to reach the border crossing, Paso Tromen. Here, you will enjoy a view of Lanín Volcano's north face before entering the Chilean jungle to visit Curarrehue village, home of the Mapuches.

We will then drive 70 km (43 miles) along the Trancura River to Pucon, where the jungle meets the lakes. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by Lake Villarrica and Villarrica Volcano.

You will have two hours of free time to explore the beaches of Pucón and its traditional food establishments to try seafood. You can also swim in the warm waters of Pucón or explore Villarrica Lake.

After your time in Pucón, we will return to San Martin de los Andes at 8 pm, where we will drop you back at your accommodation.

Required documentation

As we will cross the Argentinean border into Chile, you need to carry a valid passport. For children under 18, a birth certificate must be presented. If a minor travels alone with one parent, authorization from the absent adult is required. If accompanied by adults other than their parents, authorization signed by both guardians must be shown.
