Embark on a cross-border adventure from Argentina to Chile and discover the breathtaking beauty of Pucon - a city where lush forests meet shimmering lakes.
Private Day Trip to Pucon
The journey begins with a pick-up at your hotel in downtown San Martin de los Andes at 7:30 am. We will travel along National Route 234, passing the village of Junín de los Andes, and cross an araucaria forest by the Malleo River. After reaching the border crossing at Paso Tromen, enjoy views of the Lanín Volcano's north face. We will then enter the Chilean jungle to visit Curarrehue village, home to the Mapuches.
Next, we will drive 70 km (43 miles) along the Trancura River to arrive in Pucon, where the jungle meets the lakes. You will have two hours of free time to enjoy the beaches of Pucon and taste the local seafood. Additionally, you may swim in the warm waters of Villarrica Lake.
After your time in Pucon, we will return to San Martin de los Andes by 8 pm, providing drop-off at your accommodation.
Required documentation
Participants are required to carry a valid passport to cross from Argentina to Chile. For children under 18, a birth certificate is required. If a minor travels with one parent, permission from the absent parent is necessary. If accompanied by non-parents, authorization signed by both guardians must be presented.
