If you're looking to enjoy Andean nature, don't miss this hike around the Rosales lagoons, where we'll enjoy the captivating Patagonian landscape and discover its wide-ranging biodiversity of fauna and flora.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in San Martín de los Andes to make our way towards the Rosales lagoon, located just 30 minutes away.
Once we've arrived at its banks, we'll begin a relaxing hike around the Rosales lagoons. This fairly low level of difficulty walk covers around 3km (1.86 miles) along a lush Patagonian forest.
As we hike along the banks of the Rosales lagoons, we'll admire many species of birds, including chucaos, huet-huets, rayaditos, and red hawks, along with other native Patagonian birds such as the southern lapwing, ashy-headed goose, royal ashy-headed goose, Patagonian finch, and great gebe.
We will also explore a mallín, a marshy grassland typical of Patagonia, where we will discover various plant species inhabiting this ecosystem.
Finally, we'll begin walking back towards the start of the trail, and from there, return to our vehicle for the drive back to San Martín de los Andes, with an expected return to hotels after approximately 4 hours together.
