Rosales Lagoons Hiking Excursion

If you're looking to enjoy Andean nature, don't miss this hike around the Rosales lagoons, where we'll explore the Patagonian landscape and its biodiversity.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll collect you from your hotel in San Martín de los Andes to head to the Rosales lagoon, located 30 minutes away.

Once we arrive, we'll begin a relaxing hike around the Rosales lagoons. This hike, with a fairly low level of difficulty, will cover approximately 3km (1.86 miles) through a lush Patagonian forest. During the ascent, we will observe various bird species, including chucaos, huet-huets, rayaditos, and red hawks. We may also spot native Patagonian birds such as the southern lapwing, ashy-headed goose, royal ashy-headed goose, Patagonian finch, and the great gebe.

Next, we'll hike around a mallín, a marshy grassland typical of Patagonia, and learn about the plant species in this ecosystem.

Finally, we will return to the starting point of the trail, then to our vehicle for the journey back to San Martín de los Andes. We expect to arrive back at the hotels after approximately 4 hours together.
