Atotonilco Sanctuary + Vineyard Tour

Do you want to discover the American Sistene Chapel? Join this trip to the Sanctuary of Atonilco, where you'll also visit a vineyard and take part in a wine tasting. History, architecture and food mingle in perfect harmony.

Highlights

At the scheduled time, the group will convene on Calle Relox and will be transported by minibus to the Sanctuary of Atonilco, approximately a 20-minute journey to this World Heritage Site.

Upon arrival, you will explore the temple's beauty and history, delving into its origins connected to the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and Mexican Independence.

You will also view the frescos in the popular Mexican baroque style. This temple is commonly referred to as the American Sistine Chapel.

After the guided tour, you will visit the center of Atotonilco town to enjoy traditional Mexican gorditas or quesadillas, along with a drink.

With renewed energy, you will then head by minibus to a vineyard to learn about the wine produced in Guanajuato. The experience includes a tour of the facility and a wine tasting featuring 3 distinct varieties.

After the 4-hour trip, you will be returned to your original starting point.
