Cañada de la Virgen Archaeological Site Tour
We'll meet at Zacateros Street at the agreed time and proceed west towards the Cañada de la Virgen Archaeological Zone. After a 45-minute drive, we'll arrive at this site, which was an important Toltec-Chichimec fortress centuries ago.
This archaeological site is located on a small plateau surrounded by canyons, showcasing its strategic importance in the past. We'll visit its three complexes: the House of the Thirteen Heavens, the House of the Longest Night, and the House of the Wind.
Accompanied by an expert guide in archaeology, we'll explore the astronomical observatory, the clock, the necropolis, and the esplanades utilized by the Toltecs.
After touring the archaeological site, we'll enjoy a typical ranchera lunch before returning to San Miguel de Allende to conclude our excursion.
