Guanajuato Day Trip

On the day of the tour, we'll meet on Calle Relox and depart from San Miguel de Allende towards Guanajuato, situated approximately 70 kilometers to the north. After over an hour on a comfortable bus, we will arrive at this World Heritage City, noted as the cradle of Mexican Independence.

We will embark on a complete guided tour of Guanajuato, an historic mining town. Our visit includes the famous Callejón del Beso (alleyway of the kiss), where numerous stories and legends related to this street will be shared.

As we continue the tour, we will view significant monuments such as the University, the Juarez Theatre, and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guanajuato, located in the Plaza de la Paz, recognized for its yellow facade and baroque dome.

Next, we will visit the Diego Rivera House Museum, the former residence and studio of the celebrated muralist, showcasing some of his studio paintings.

After exploring the museum, we will delve into the network of tunnels beneath Guanajuato, learning about mining, which was a primary livelihood for local residents.

Following the tour, there will be an hour of free time to dine at a local restaurant before we return to San Miguel de Allende after a total of eight hours.
