Guanajuato Day Trip

On the day of the tour, we'll meet on Calle Relox and depart from San Miguel de Allende towards Guanajuato, approximately 70 kilometers to the north. After about an hour on a comfortable bus, we will arrive in this World Heritage City, recognized as the cradle of Mexican Independence.

We will participate in a complete guided tour of Guanajuato, an old mining town, including a visit to the famous Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss) where we will learn various stories and legends about this area.

Throughout the tour, we will view key monuments such as the University, the Juarez Theatre, and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guanajuato, known for its yellow facade and baroque dome located in Plaza de la Paz.

Additionally, we will visit the Diego Rivera House Museum, the former home and studio of the muralist featuring some of his works.

After the museum visit, we will explore the network of tunnels beneath Guanajuato, gaining insights into the mining history crucial to the region's livelihood.

Following the tour, you will have an hour of free time to eat at a local restaurant.

We will return to San Miguel de Allende after a total of eight hours.
