Argentina Independence Tour
The tour starts with a pick up at 8:30 from your hotel in Tucumán, followed by a visit to the Miguel Lillo Natural Science Museum (entrance fee not included) to explore the nature and geography of Tucumán. The exhibition includes dinosaur fossils from the region and information about animals native to Argentina that currently inhabit other parts of the world.
Next, we will visit the Casa Belgraniana, the former home of General Manuel Belgrano, to learn about the battle of Tucumán, a significant event in the Argentina's War of Independence.
The tour proceeds to Ingenio San Pablo to explore its sugar-producing tradition, followed by Villa Nougués and San Javier Hill. At the top, you will view the sculpture of Cristo Bendicente and enjoy panoramic views of San Miguel de Tucumán.
We will continue through the Yerba Buena residential area, stopping for local empanadas and wine in central Tucumán. Our returns include a panoramic tour of Yerba Buena and the Casa Obispo Colombres Sugar Industry Museum.
The tour concludes at the Plaza de la Independencia with a walking tour of the Government House, the Cathedral, and the Casa Histórica, where Argentinian Independence was proclaimed on July 9, 1816. The tour ends at 3:30 pm, dropping you back at your hotel.

The tour includes pick up and drop off at hotels in central San Miguel de Tucumán. If you are staying elsewhere, you will be picked up at Ente de Tucumán Turismo, 484 Avenida 24 de Septiembre.
