Tour Itinerary: Explore Catamarca
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tucumán and head south toward San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca.
The Catamarca tour begins upon reaching this picturesque city near the Nevados del Aconquija. The first stop will be at the 25 de Mayo Square to admire the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Valley.
Next, we'll pass by the San Francisco Church and visit the Mercado Artesanal, where you can sample typical Catamarca sweets. An hour will be allocated for lunch near the market.
After lunch, we will explore a carpet factory on the outskirts of Catamarca, then proceed to the Gruta de la Virgen del Valle, which houses a famous carving with a compelling story.
The last stop will be at the Monumento a la Zamba del Portezuelo, offering scenic views of the surroundings. Following a return journey, we will stop in the town of Aguilares to explore its history further.
The excursion concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Tucumán, with an estimated return time of 10 hours after pickup.
