On this excursion from Tucumán, we'll visit the Jesuit ruins of San José de Lules and the town of Simoca, known for its Saturday fair, where regional products are available for purchase.

Tour Highlights

We will depart from your hotel in Tucumán at the scheduled time and drive 30 minutes to reach the ruins of San José de Lules. Here, we will explore the legacy of the Society of Jesus.

During our visit to this National Monument, we will learn about Argentina's first Jesuit school and the area's initial cultivation of sugar cane.

Next, we will proceed to Simoca. At the Saturday fair, a selection of rosquillas, empanadillas, and various regional products will be available. The fair also offers a range of handicrafts.

While browsing the stalls, we will observe the barter system in action, where items such as a dozen eggs or a piglet can serve as currency for exchanges.

After visiting the Simoca Fair, we will return to your hotel in Tucumán, concluding the tour 5 hours after our initial pickup.
