If you like making things by hand, don't miss this trip to Tafí del Valle, where we'll enjoy an artisan ceramics and fabrics workshop.
Description
We will collect you from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at the scheduled time and head southwards.
The tour begins with a scenic drive through the Yunga jungles and the Los Sosa Gorge. We will take a break in El Mollar to visit the Los Menhires Archaeological Reserve and learn about its iconic stone stelae.
Continuing to Tafí del Valle, a notable destination in Tucumán, we will go to the house for the ceramics workshop, where we will learn to make pieces inspired by the native cultures of the Calchaquí Valleys.
After the ceramics workshop, you will have free time for lunch in the center of Tafí del Valle. Following lunch, we will visit another house for a fabrics workshop, where we will learn about dyeing, spinning, and weaving techniques used in garment production.
We will then return, making a brief stop at the Tambo La Sofía Cheese Factory to see product making and enjoy views of Tafí del Valle from their viewpoint.
We expect to return to the hotels in San Miguel de Tucumán after about 9 hours together.
