Pucará de Aconquija Hiking Tour

Tour Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán to start a day trip to the Aconquija National Park, passing by regional plantations of sugar cane, lemon, and blueberry.

During our tour of Aconquija National Park, we will view the lush vegetation of the Yungas Forest. Our first stop is the Samay Cochuna camping site, followed by the La Banderita lookout for views of the forest and Nevados del Aconquija.

Approximately 3.5 hours after pickup, we will reach the Valle de Las Estancias, known for its diverse mountain landscapes. After a short break, we will commence our trek along the Camino del Inca Argentino.

After 40 minutes of hiking, we will arrive at the Inca site of Pucará del Aconquija, where we will explore the kallankas, kolcas, walls, and defensive towers. A lunch including a sandwich and a piece of fruit will be provided.

We will complete our 2-kilometer journey reaching a maximum altitude of 7217 feet (2200 m) before starting our return to San Miguel de Tucumán. You will be dropped off at your hotel about 12 hours after pickup.
