San Pedro de Colalao DayTrip

After collecting you from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at the scheduled time, we will head north towards the Celestino Gelsi Dam?, also known as El Cadillal. Next to this engineering marvel is the Archaeological Museum of El Cadillal (MAC), where we will visit a permanent exhibition featuring ancient vessels, mortars, arrowheads, and tools from the Candelaria people who inhabited the area between the 3rd and 7th centuries AD.

Our tour continues to the village of Trancas, where you will learn about its role in the independence of Argentina. Continuing north, we arrive at San Pedro de Colalao, an important tourist municipality.

During the tour, we will also visit the Grotto of Lourdes, a notable pilgrimage site in Tucumán that replicates the famous cave in France. You will learn about the origins of this Gallic Catholic shrine in San Pedro de Colalao.

After visiting the grotto, you will have free time to sample the local cuisine. After lunch, we will return you to your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán, approximately 8 hours after departure.
