This day trip begins with a pick-up from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at the scheduled time. We will journey north towards the Celestino Gelsi Dam, often referred to as El Cadillal. Adjacent to this impressive engineering marvel is the Archaeological Museum of El Cadillal (MAC). Here, you will explore the permanent exhibition showcasing various ancient vessels, mortars, arrowheads, and other artifacts belonging to the Candelaria people, who occupied this region between the 3rd and 7th centuries AD.

Our exploration continues to the charming village of Trancas, where you will learn about its significant contribution to the independence of Argentina. As we proceed north, we will arrive at San Pedro de Colalao, recognized as one of the most notable tourist municipalities in northern Argentina.

During the tour, we will also stop by one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the province of Tucumán: the Grotto of Lourdes. This site is a replica of the famed cave in France. You will gain insight into the reasons behind the establishment of this small Gallic Catholic shrine in San Pedro de Colalao.

After visiting the grotto, you will have your own free time to sample the delightful local cuisine. Following lunch, we will return you to your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán, concluding the trip approximately 8 hours after departure.
