Discover the history, tradition, and natural beauty of San Pedro de Colalao on this amazing day trip to Northern Argentina from Tucumán!

San Pedro de Colalao DayTrip

After collecting you from your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán at the scheduled time, we will head north towards the Celestino Gelsi Dam?, also known as El Cadillal. Next to this site is the Archaeological Museum of El Cadillal (MAC), featuring ancient vessels, mortars, arrowheads, and tools from the Candelaria people who lived here between the 3rd and 7th centuries AD.

Our tour continues at the village of Trancas, which played a significant role in the independence of Argentina. Continuing north, we arrive at San Pedro de Colalao, a prominent tourist municipality in the region.

We will also visit the Grotto of Lourdes, a pilgrimage site in Tucumán modeled after the famous cave in France. You will learn about its history and significance in San Pedro de Colalao.

After visiting the cave, you will have your own free time to sample local cuisine. Following lunch, we will return you to your hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán, arriving approximately 8 hours after departure.
