Tafi del Valle and Quilmes Ruins Tour
After picking you up from your hotel, we'll start our tour to Tafí del Valle and the Quilmes Ruins. We'll also visit a family winery and try exquisite Argentinian wine.
Our journey continues along the Quebrada de Los Sosa river until we reach El Mollar. This site features more than 50 megalithic sculptures, with intriguing theories regarding their origin and significance.
Then, we'll travel to Tafí del Valle, a small town where you'll have some free time to explore the area and enjoy its scenic backdrop consisting of large mountains.
Afterward, we'll proceed to El Infiernillo, the entrance to the Calchaquí Valley, noted for its impressive natural scenery.
Next, we'll visit the Sacred City of Quilmes, home to one of the largest pre-Columbian settlements in Argentina: the Quilmes Ruins. There you'll learn about the Quilmes Indians, their customs, traditions, and legacy.
Following the ruins, we'll head to Amaicha del Valle for lunch.
Afterward, we'll meet the Amaicha del Valley community to visit an indigenous winery. Veronica, a family member, will explain the wine production process and you’ll have the chance to taste a glass.
After 11.5 hours of activity, we'll return to your hotel.
