Day Trip to Baltinache Lagoons

At the established time, we will collect you from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama and begin our journey towards the Cordillera de la Sal, a mountain range situated just south of San Pedro de Atacama.

Nestled at the base of these mountains are the Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache, or 'Hidden Lagoons of Baltinache', a stunning formation consisting of seven saltwater lagoons. The breathtaking backdrop of the Callo Salino enhances this surreal landscape, creating one of the most picturesque views in Chile.

Upon reaching the lagoons, you will have leisure time to soak in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy a revitalizing swim. The remarkable high salinity of these waters allows you to float effortlessly—a natural phenomenon similar to the renowned Dead Sea.

Following your time at the lagoons, we will escort you to the renowned Likan-Antay viewpoint to witness a breathtaking sunset. This moment is sure to leave you in awe! Please note that, due to the length of the days in summer, catching the sunset may not be feasible during the southern hemisphere's warmer months.

We will conclude our trip by returning you to the main square of San Pedro de Atacama, approximately 5 hours after your initial pickup.

This day excursion offers pickups from hotels within a 3.10 miles (5 kilometers) radius of central San Pedro de Atacama. If your accommodation lies beyond this distance, we will arrange for you to meet us at unit 2, 429B Tocopilla Street.
