Join us on this hiking tour of Cerro Toco, a dormant volcano offering views from its summit at 5,100 m (16,732 ft) of the Licancabur Volcano and the Blanco and Verde Lagoons.
Activity Details
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to start the journey to Cerro Toco Volcano. The travel time is approximately one hour, including a stop at a shop for water and snacks.
We will acclimatize with a 1 km (0.6 mi) walk at an altitude of 3,100 m (10,170 ft) before heading to the base of Cerro Toco Volcano, located at 5,100 m (16,732 ft) above sea level.
It will take about 2 hours to reach the summit, with several stops to rest, hydrate, and enjoy panoramic views of the Andean landscape. Please bring your camera.
After descending and resting for 45 minutes at the base, we will begin our return to San Pedro de Atacama. The total duration of the tour is 5 hours, concluding with drop-off at your hotel.
