Cerro Toco Volcano Hike

Join us on this trek to Cerro Toco, a peak in the Atacama Desert at 5,300 m (17,388 ft) above sea level.

Activity Details

At the indicated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to begin the adventure. The drive, lasting approximately one hour, includes a quick stop at a local shop for water, snacks, or last-minute items.

For 2.5 to 3 hours, we will ascend the summit as we climb Lascar volcano. Stops will be made to rest, hydrate, and enjoy the panoramic views of the Andean landscape. Remember to bring your camera.

Upon reaching the summit of Cerro Toco, we will have expansive views of Laguna Verde in Bolivia, along with the Licancabur and Juriques volcanoes. We may also catch sight of the Andes Mountains.

After taking in the panorama, we will start our 1.5 hour descent from the summit. The total experience will conclude back at your hotel, 8 hours later.
