Discover one of the largest geyser fields in the world at El Tatio on our trip from San Pedro de Atacama. During the journey, you'll visit the Machuca Lagoon, known for its variety of birds.

Tatio Geysers & Machuca Lagoon Trip

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama and head to Chile's most important geothermal site. After approximately an hour and a half, we arrive at El Tatio geyser field, located over 4,000 meters (13,000 ft) above sea level.

El Tatio features constant steam eruptions from over 100 craters and is the third-largest geyser field in the world. We will also visit thermal pools and enjoy breakfast while observing this geothermal activity at dawn.

After breakfast, we will proceed to Machuca Lagoon, where we will explore a wetland home to various highland birds, including flamingos and ducks.

We will conclude this 7 to 7.5-hour excursion by returning to San Pedro de Atacama and dropping you off in the town center.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels within a 10-kilometer (6.2 miles) radius from the center of San Pedro de Atacama. Depending on availability, pickups may be arranged from hotels within a maximum radius of 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) or 10 kilometers (6.2 miles). Note that pickups in nearby towns like Ayllus, Solor, Cucuter, and Toconao are not included.

For remote accommodations, an alternative meeting point will be provided on your booking voucher.
