Join us for an incredible 4-day adventure exploring the breathtaking Uyuni Salt Flat in Bolivia. Prepare yourself for stunning vistas and an unforgettable experience!

Itinerary Overview

Day 1

Your journey begins with a pickup at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. Leaving Chile behind, we will cross into Bolivia to witness some of the nation’s most captivating scenery.

We'll board an off-roading vehicle to ascend into the Bolivian highlands, where you can marvel at the striking Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca, two stunning salt lakes located within the Eduardo Avaroa National Park. These lakes rest at an impressive altitude of 4,300 meters (14,107 feet)!

Next, we will explore the Salvador Dalí Desert, a landscape that evokes the colors of the famous artist's works. Our adventure continues at the hot springs of Polques, where you can enjoy a soak while observing flamingos. A well-deserved lunch follows, after which we will seek out the Morning Sun Geyser, perfect for uncovering the volcanic beauty of the park.

We will also stop by Laguna Colorada and the community of Quetena Chico, where we will spend our first night recharging for the days ahead.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, we will embark on an exploration of the pre-Inca cave paintings from the Quechua culture!

Later, we’ll visit the enchanting Valley of Rocks, where you can appreciate the unusual rock formations scattered throughout the park. Our itinerary also includes the Laguna Catal and its stream, abundant in the native flora and fauna of the Bolivian altiplano.

The day will conclude at a fascinating salt hostel, where we'll settle in for the night.

Day 3

Rise early for a visit to the renowned Uyuni Salt Flat. Our first stop will be a hike around Incahuasi Island to admire its towering cacti, as well as the Pilas de Sal and Ojos de Sal, along with the first entirely salt-made hostel.

After enjoying breakfast, we will explore the famous salt hostel, known as Plaza de las Banderas, and visit the mesmerizing Ojos de Sal. We will make several stops at ideal locations for capturing this extraordinary place through photographs.

Next, we will head to the indigenous community of Colchani, where you'll see traditional iodized salt production methods passed down through generations. To cap off the day, we’ll stop at the Train Cemetery, where vintage locomotives create a hauntingly beautiful scene.

Finally, we will return to Quetena Chico for a restful night at the same hotel where we stayed on our first evening.

Day 4

On the final day, we will depart from Quetena Chico early in the morning to make our way back to San Pedro de Atacama, wrapping up the tour at your hotel around 12 PM.
