Embark on an enriching excursion from Concepción to the enchanting Ñuble region of Chile, where you'll explore the historic town of Ninhue and the charming coastal destination of Buchupureo.

Ninhue & Buchupureo Exploration

Your journey begins at 9 am with a pick-up from your hotel in Concepción, setting off towards the scenic Ñuble region.

We will pause briefly in Coelemu, then make our way to the beautiful town of Ninhue. Just outside this town is San Agustín de Puñual, a notable hacienda where we will explore the Cuna de Prat museum. This historic mansion, the birthplace of naval hero Arturo Prat Chacón, features an exhibition focusing on the gold rush era.

After our museum visit, we’ll proceed to the heart of Ninhue, where you can browse the popular handicraft fair. It's an ideal opportunity to discover chupallas, the traditional straw hats cherished by local farmers.

Next, we will head to the coastal town of Buchupureo. Here, you'll enjoy a meal at a restaurant with spectacular sea views located in the former port area. You’ll have an hour to savor your lunch, after which we will explore the nearby papaya plantations.

As we continue our adventure, a leisurely walk along Buchupureo's coast will lead us to the remarkable rock church, an impressive natural rock formation that overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

To cap off our day, we’ll visit a sea lion colony on the Cobquecura beach, before concluding our excursion with a return to your hotel in Concepción, estimated to arrive by 10:30 pm.
