At the designated time, transportation will be provided from your hotel in Puerto Escondido to Chacahua Lagoon National Park. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours, leading to El Zapotalito, where the aquatic portion of the tour begins.
Passengers will board a speedboat designed with a roof and comfortable seating for a 1.5-hour exploration of the lagoons. The tour includes sailing through mangrove tunnels and visiting small islands, with information provided regarding the area's flora and fauna. Expect to see migratory birds, river crocodiles, and various mangrove species.
Upon reaching Chacahua Bay, participants will have 3.5 hours of free time to swim, relax, or explore. Local culinary options are available at seafront restaurants, with a recommendation to try the thinly sliced fish.
The return journey will also be by speedboat to El Zapotalito, followed by land transport back to Puerto Escondido. The total duration of the trip is 9 hours, concluding with drop-off at your accommodation.
