Night Tour of the Manialtepec Lagoon

This tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Puerto Escondido at approximately 7:30 pm. After a ride of about an hour and a half, just as the last rays of sunlight fade away, you will witness one of the natural world's most impressive sights.

The lagoon is renowned for its captivating bioluminescence. This phenomenon occurs as the microorganisms in the lake emit light with the slightest movement. You will have the opportunity to swim in the water, and as your body interacts with these organisms, they will light up, creating a stunning visual effect that appears as though your body itself is glowing!

Once you disembark from the boat, you'll spend over an hour in this enchanting environment, unwinding and soaking in the calming sounds of nature that surround you. This experience is ideal for rejuvenating both body and mind.

Finally, we will return to the hotels in Puerto Escondido, arriving at approximately 10 pm.

How does it work?

You will begin your evening with the hotel pickup, then travel together to the lagoon. After settling into the boat, you'll be guided through the breathtaking bioluminescent experience, where swimming is highly encouraged to fully appreciate the phenomenon.
