Santa Catarina Juquila Private Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and drive to Santa Catarina Juquila. The journey to this Pueblo Magico, a significant pilgrimage site in Oaxaca, takes about 2 hours.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Immaculate Shrine of Our Lady of Juquila, built between the 18th and 19th centuries, known for its twin towers and large half-orange dome. Inside is Our Lady of Juquila, the second patron saint of Oaxaca. You will learn about the miracle that established her as one of Mexico's most revered figures.

Next, we will go to the municipal market, where you can see various handicrafts and traditional regional products. You will have 45 minutes of free time to enjoy lunch at the market or a local restaurant.

After lunch, we'll head to Our Lady of Juquila Pedimiento to observe the congregation's traditions, including people making wishes represented by clay figures.

We will return to your hotel in Puerto Escondido at 5:30 pm.
