Your journey begins at 7 am when we collect you from your accommodation in Puerto Escondido for a scenic drive to Santa Catarina Juquila. This trip to the Pueblo Magico—a vital pilgrimage destination in Oaxaca—takes approximately two hours.

Upon arrival, our first stop is the Immaculate Shrine of Our Lady of Juquila. Constructed between the 18th and 19th centuries, this temple is notable for its striking twin towers and a grand half-orange dome. Inside, you will find the revered Our Lady of Juquila, recognized as the second patron saint of Oaxaca. Throughout our visit, you'll discover the remarkable story behind her veneration, which has positioned her as one of Mexico's most beloved spiritual icons.

Next, we will proceed to the municipal market, a vibrant hub filled with handicrafts, traditional local produce, and various representations of the Virgin Mary. You will have 45 minutes of leisure time to enjoy lunch either at the market or at a nearby restaurant.

After your meal, our journey continues to Our Lady of Juquila Pedimiento, where you can observe the local congregation engaging in profound customs. Here, many visitors create clay figures to represent their wishes, adding a unique cultural element to the experience.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Puerto Escondido by 5:30 pm.
