Santa Catarina Juquila Private Day Trip

At 7 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and drive to Santa Catarina Juquila, which is about a 2-hour drive from Puerto Escondido.

Upon arrival, we'll visit the Immaculate Shrine of Our Lady of Juquila, built between the 18th and 19th centuries, featuring two towers and a large half-orange dome. Inside, we will learn about Our Lady of Juquila, the second patron saint of Oaxaca, and the miracle that contributed to her significance in Mexico.

Next, we'll go to the municipal market, where you can find handicrafts, traditional products, and images of the Virgen Mary. You will have 45 minutes of free time to have lunch at the market or a local restaurant.

After lunch, we'll visit Our Lady of Juquila Pedimiento to observe the congregation and their traditions, including individuals making wishes represented in clay figures.

We will return you to your hotel in Puerto Escondido at 5:30 pm.
