Santa Catarina Juquila Private Day Trip

At 7 am we'll pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Escondido and drive to Santa Catarina Juquila. The drive to this Pueblo Magico should take about 2 hours.

Once we've arrived, we'll visit the Immaculate Shrine of Our Lady of Juquila, built between the 18th and 19th centuries, notable for its two towers and large half-orange dome. Inside, we'll find Our Lady of Juquila, the state of Oaxaca's second patron saint. You'll learn about the miracle that made her a venerated figure.

Afterwards, we'll go to the municipal market, where you'll see handicrafts, regional products, and images of the Virgen Mary. You'll have 45 minutes of free time for lunch at the market or in a local restaurant.

Once you've had lunch, we'll head to Our Lady of Juquila Pedimiento, where you'll observe the congregation and their traditions, including wishes represented in clay figures.

We'll return to your hotel in Puerto Escondido at 5:30 pm.
