San Quirico & Bagno Vignoni Private Tour
At the time of your choice, you'll meet your guide on Via Poliziano. From there, you'll begin a walking tour of San Quirico d'Orcia that will lead you to discover the main charms of this Tuscan town.
We'll start by discussing the significance of this town during the Middle Ages as a place of welcome for pilgrims traveling to Rome along the Via Francigena.
You will see the Collegiate Church of San Quirico, notable for its three elaborately decorated porticoes, and the Church of San Francesco. Then, we'll visit the Horti Leonini, a prime example of 16th-century Italian gardens featuring a statue of Cosimo III de Medici and remnants of the Cassero tower, destroyed in World War II.
At the end of the private tour of San Quirico d'Orcia, you'll use your own vehicle or public transport to reach Bagno Vignoni, located just 6 kilometers away.
Upon arrival, we will start a guided tour to explore the sites that contribute to Bagno Vignoni's charm, including its hot springs basin as the main square. We will also discuss the connections between this village and the nun Catherine of Siena.
After three hours of sightseeing, we will conclude the private tour in the center of Bagno Vignoni. If you wish, you can also take a dip in the thermal baths at the end of the tour!
