Explore the Andean landscapes with this excursion to the Las Leñas Valley, home to one of the largest ski resorts in South America.

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in San Rafael at 8:15 am and head south through the province of Mendoza. Our first stop will be the Salinas del Diamante and the Los Parlamentos plains. We will then visit the El Sosneado neighborhood to learn about the FAU 571 plane crash, where survivors resorted to eating human flesh for 72 days after crashing into a glacier en route from Montevideo to Santiago de Chile.

The route continues along the Atuel River before reaching the Las Leñas Valley. You can admire the landscape from the Infiernillo viewpoint and visit the Niña Encantada Lagoon, known for its turquoise waters. We will also stop at the Las Ánimas well.

Our next stop is at the Las Leñas Ski Resort, situated at an altitude of 2,000 metres (6,561 feet). The resort features 29 slopes with 65 kilometres (40 miles) of skiable runs, alongside a variety of hotels and restaurants.

You will return to your hotel in San Rafael, arriving around 7:30 pm.
