La Merced Excursion

After picking you up at your hotel in San Ramón at 10:30 am, we'll make our way to La Merced, located in the central Peruvian jungle. We'll climb to an altitude of 750 meters (2,460 feet) above sea level to reach this town on the banks of the Chanchamayo River. Upon arrival, we'll go on a sightseeing tour of the Plaza Principal, where we'll see the Matriz Church and its two-colored façade.

Afterward, we'll visit the waterfall of El Tirol, taking photos in this setting. Then, we'll explore the Las Delicias orchid garden, where we'll learn about various types of orchids.

The next part of the tour will include a visit to the Zhaveta Yard butterfly farm and zoo, where we'll see native species such as parrots, sloths, and monkeys. Finally, we'll visit the viewpoint of La Cruz for vistas of the city before returning to San Ramón, dropping you off at your hotel around 3:30 pm.
