La Merced Excursion

After picking you up at your hotel in San Ramón at 10:30 am, we'll make our way to La Merced, located in the central Peruvian jungle.

We'll climb to an altitude of 750 meters (2,460 feet) above sea level to reach this town on the banks of the Chanchamayo River, known for its lush vegetation, waterfalls, and wildlife.

Upon arrival in La Merced, we'll tour Plaza Principal, where we'll see the Matriz Church with its two-colored façade.

Next, we'll visit the waterfall of El Tirol. Following this, we will go to the Las Delicias orchid garden to learn about various types of orchids.

The tour will continue at the Zhaveta Yard butterfly farm and zoo, showcasing native species like parrots, sloths, and monkeys.

We'll conclude by admiring the vistas from the viewpoint of La Cruz before returning to San Ramón, arriving at your hotel around 3:30 pm.
