The Pampa Train in Sant'Ana do Livramento
The Pampa Train is the newest tourist attraction in Sant'Ana do Livramento. This train, with two wagons named Cabernet and Tannat, travels 12 miles (20 kilometers) through Campanha Caúcha countryside. It accommodates 100 passengers, providing comfortable seating and scenic views.
Activity Itinerary
You can start with either the Pampa Train ride or the Almadén Winery tour. The meeting point is the Sant'Ana do Livramento Train Station. The itinerary is as follows:
Starting with the Pampa Train ride: Meet at the Sant'Ana do Livramento Train Station, board the train to Palomas Train Station, then take a bus to the Almadén Winery. After the visit, return to the starting point via bus.Starting with the Almadén Winery tour: Meet at the Sant'Ana do Livramento Train Station, take a minibus to the Almadén Winery, then return to Palomas Train Station by bus to board the Pampa Train and return to the meeting point.
Train Ride
Enjoy stunning views on the 12-mile (20-kilometer) journey with traditional musical performances by gauchos. During the ride, savor red wine, white wine, and a must (young wine) at your seat, equipped with tables and glass holders.
Tour of the Almadén Winery
The Almadén Winery is a prestigious winery in Campanha Gaúcha, near the Uruguay border. The tour includes strolling through vineyards, enjoying scenic views from a balcony, and visiting an interactive museum that covers the winery's history. You will learn about the wine elaboration process and partake in a tasting. The winery has a canteen and a store for purchasing wines and souvenirs.
