The BIBO PARK Ibiza Biotechnological Botanical focuses on vegetation conservation and biotechnological research. It hosts over 25,000 plants from 160 species, including the world's first plant piano.
Tour Details
The guided tour begins at the photobioreactor for microalgae growth, comprising 200 meters of transparent tubes with a 1200-liter water volume. These microalgae act as fertilizer and significantly aid atmospheric cleansing.
Visitors will observe endemic and extinct species unique to the garden, alongside a replica of a Mediterranean salt cellar made from ancient materials. The tour will then feature the park's atmospheric water generators, allowing sampling of untreated pure water free from chemicals and contaminants.
Next, the tour includes an exploration of the bee hives and the BIBO PARK lake, designed to replicate salt pan habitats, and the Plato's Corner area. The experience culminates with the plant piano, creating light and sound connections with nature. This guided tour lasts approximately one hour. Afterward, guests can explore the bonsai collection at the Pitiusas and a variety of aromatic and medicinal plants.
