The BIBO PARK Ibiza Biotechnological Botanical is a conservation park focused on vegetation and biotechnological research, housing over 25,000 plants from 160 species. It features the world’s first plant piano.
Tour Details
The guided tour begins at the photobioreactor, which grows microalgae. This device has 200 meters of transparent tubes and holds 1200 liters of water, with microalgae helping to clean the atmosphere. The tour includes observations of endemic and extinct species, as well as a replica of a typical Mediterranean salt cellar made with over 100-year-old stakes.
Next, visitors will see the park's atmospheric water generators, where they can sample pure water free from chemicals, toxins, and pathogens. The tour continues near the bee hives and the park's lake, a recreation of salt pan habitats, concluding at the plant piano that produces light and sound. The guided tour lasts one hour.
After the tour, guests can explore the collection of bonsais and a variety of aromatic and medicinal plants.
