Description

Located in the historic centre of San Cugat del Vallés, in the province of Barcelona, the Museum of Comics and Illustration houses a collection of almost 1,500 publications.

The museum is located in a building from the mid-19th century featuring a large exhibition of comic books, showcasing characters such as Captain Thunder and Mortadelo and Filemón. The collection includes older and contemporary works, focusing on the ninth art. Additionally, there are weekly magazines and children's publications like TBO, Pulgarcito, Jabato, and SOS, along with illustrations from various periods.

The exhibition starts with mid-19th-century publications, showcasing the genre's evolution to the mid-20th century and the 1980s, a period marked by expanded adult comic appeal.

The Comic Museum is open at the following times:

Tuesdays to Fridays: from 4 to 8 pmSaturdays: from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 to 8 pmSundays: from 10 am to 2 pm
