Join us on a captivating exploration of Fangar Bay, where we will discover the distinctive features of the northern region surrounding the Ebro River's mouth. This journey will unveil rice paddies, mussel cultivation sites, and charming fishing villages.

Fangar Bay Excursion

We will gather at the designated time at the Sant Jaume d'Enveja Pier. From there, a minibus will transport us into the heart of Fangar Bay, situated within the protected Natural Park of the Ebro Delta.

Our first destination will be the fishing port of Illa de Mar, where we will pause to take in a breathtaking panoramic vista. Here, we will have the chance to gaze upon the green filter lagoon, the village of l'Ampolla, the mussel farms, and the iconic lighthouse of the Fangar peninsula.

As we stroll around the port, we'll observe traditional fishing vessels and delve into the processes behind mussel and oyster farming. Additionally, we will utilize binoculars to identify local bird species and, with luck, spot the striking flamingos.

Following this, we will venture to the precise location where the Ebro River meets the Mediterranean Sea, a remarkable area teeming with natural beauty and stunning landscapes.

Our adventure will continue at the Zigurat viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of San Antonio Island, the Garxal lagoon, Buda Island, and the expansive rice fields. Be ready to capture unforgettable moments!

Concluding our three-hour exploration of Fangar Bay, we will return to our original meeting point.
