Codorníu Winery Guided Tour
We will meet at the entrance of the Codorníu winery, located about 47 km (29 miles) from Barcelona, at the scheduled time. This tour will provide insight into one of the most recognized cava brands in Spain.
During the 90-minute guided tour, participants will learn about the family of winegrowers who began producing cava in the Alto Penedés region in the 16th century. The architecture of the winery, designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, is reminiscent of Gaudí's works.
Recognized as a Historic-Artistic Monument, the Codorníu winery is key for cava knowledge. The tour includes a visit to the Celler Gran museum and cellar, showcasing the traditional machinery used for processing the grapes, well-preserved for viewing.
Additionally, the tour features an exploration of the underground cellars and a train tour of the various rooms. The experience concludes with a tasting of two premium Codorniu cavas.
