Codorníu Winery Guided Tour
We will meet at the entrance of the Codorníu winery, located near San Sadurní de Noya, approximately 47 km (29 miles) from Barcelona. This tour provides insight into one of the most famous cava brands in Spain.
During a 90-minute guided tour, we will explore the history of the winegrowing family that began producing cava in the Alto Penedés region in the 16th century. The winery's architecture, designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, resembles the work of Gaudí.
As a Historic-Artistic Monument, Codorníu is a key reference for cava. We will tour the Celler Gran museum and cellar, where an exhibition of traditional machinery for grape pressing and fermentation will be displayed in excellent condition.
We will also explore the underground cellars with a train tour of the various rooms. To conclude the experience, participants will taste two premium Codorníu cavas.
