Codorníu Winery Guided Tour

We will meet at the entrance of the Codorníu winery, located about 47 km (29 miles) from Barcelona, at the scheduled time. Prepare to explore one of the most famous brands of cava in Spain.

The 90-minute guided tour covers the history of the family of winegrowers that began producing cava in the Alto Penedés region in the 16th century. The winery's architecture, designed by modernist Josep Puig i Cadafalch, resembles the works of Gaudí.

Declared a Historic-Artistic Monument, the Codorníu winery is a major reference for cava. During the tour, we'll visit the Celler Gran museum and cellar to learn about the production of sparkling wines through an exhibition of traditional machinery used for pressing and fermenting grapes, preserved in excellent condition.

We will also explore the underground cellars with a train tour of the different rooms. The experience concludes with a tasting of two top-of-the-range Codorniu cavas.
