Cerro de la Silla Hike

Interested in exploring the iconic Monterrey from a unique perspective? On this hiking route, you'll climb up to the cablecar platform of Cerro de la Silla and enjoy spectacular views.

Hike Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Monterrey at the designated time to set off to the slopes of Cerro de la Silla, where we'll begin this hiking route. The hike is approximately 1.55 miles (2.5 kilometers) long, passing by key spots like La Virgen, a 39.3 feet (12 meters) high religious sculpture, and the Table of the 10 Commandments, stone tablets inscribed with Catholic commandments. We will also visit the ruins of the ancient cablecar, a project initiated in 1961 that closed shortly after.

We'll reach the cablecar's lookout, with unmatched views of Monterrey, where we'll stop for approximately one hour. You will have opportunities to take photos, and we will provide tips to capture these moments. Please bring your camera.

After the hike, we can return to the starting point or drop you off at a nearby restaurant to enjoy local cuisine. We will conclude the activity approximately 4 hours after it begins.
