Flores Island Lagoons & Lajes Tour
At the selected time, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin the tour of the lagoons on Flores Island.
Our first stop will be the Reserva Natural do Morro Alto e Pico da Se, which features seven volcanic lagoons, including Branca, Funda, Comprida, and Seca.
On the trails surrounding these lakes, there are forests of laurels, cedars, hydrangeas, and lilies, along with several lookout points for panoramic views.
We will then proceed to Rocha dos Bordões, a significant basaltic rock formation, making two stops at the viewpoints of Portal and Craveiro Lopes. Next, we will visit the village of Lajes to see an old whaling factory, learning about the whaling history of the island.
Following that, we will visit the church of Matriz de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, known for its polychrome Renaissance altarpiece. On our way out, we will stop at the Lajedo lookout point to appreciate the view of the Atlantic and the impressive Rocha dos Frades rock.
After four hours of touring the island, we will drop you off back at your hotel, concluding the activity.
