Charco Azul Day Trip + Rum Distillery Tour

Embark on a journey through the breathtaking landscapes of northeastern La Palma during our day excursion to the Charco Azul. Experience stunning viewpoints, breathe in the invigorating air, and visit a rum distillery. Let the adventure begin!

Excursion Overview

Pickup will be arranged between 8 and 9:20 am from your selected meeting point, allowing us to commence our exploration of northeastern La Palma.

Our first stop will be the magnificent Enamorado Waterfall, a natural terrace that offers remarkable vistas of the surrounding palm-covered hills. Here, we will observe how this unique ecosystem transitions into steep coastal cliffs and uncover the legends associated with the statue that stands at this scenic overlook.

A short coffee break will follow at the quaint Church of San Bartolo, providing you with some free time to recharge before we proceed with our adventure.

Continuing on, we will drive through the charming village of San Andrés and stop for a short 30-minute hike. Marvel at the vast expanse of banana plantations as we stroll towards the beach at Puerto Espindola. Here, we'll explore the stunning natural pools of Charco Azul.

Next, our journey leads us to the Aldea rum distillery, where you will learn the art of rum production from sugar cane. Afterward, we will visit the captivating viewpoints of La Tosca and Fajana de Barlovento, providing ample opportunities for memorable photographs.

You will have an hour of leisure time to enjoy lunch in Los Sauces. Following this, we will embark on a walking tour of the beautifully paved Cubo de la Galga, where we will take in the sights of the lush laurel forest.

Our day will conclude between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm at the original meeting point.
