Day Trip to Roque de los Muchachos

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from your chosen meeting point in La Palma and travel by bus to Tajuya Square, a prime viewpoint during the Tajogaite volcanic eruption, showcasing nature's impact. Next, we will visit El Time, located 594 meters (1950 feet) above sea level, for views of the Aridane Valley and La Caldera de Taburinete National Park. Depending on the day, we will proceed to either Puntagorda to visit the Farmer's Market or Los Llanos de Aridane. You will have some free time for lunch; please bring a packed meal.

We will then ascend to Roque de Los Muchachos, the highest point at 2426 meters (7960 feet) known for excellent stargazing. Here, we will enjoy views of the Taburiente Caldera and potentially spot El Hierro, La Gomera, and Tenerife Islands. The descent will include observation of various layers of vegetation. We will stop at Los Andenes Viewpoint for views of Barranco de Las Angustias, and visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows and La Concepción Viewpoint for views of Santa Cruz de La Palma. The total trip lasts 8 hours.
