Day Trip to Roque de los Muchachos

Day Trip Details

Pickup will be from a selected meeting point in La Palma, followed by a bus trip to Tajuya Square, a viewpoint from the volcanic eruption of Tajogaite. Witness the new landscape left by this event. Next, we will visit El Time, a viewpoint at 594 meters (1950 feet) above sea level, offering views of the Aridane Valley and La Caldera de Taburinete National Park. Depending on the day, we will proceed to either Puntagorda, where we will visit the Farmer's Market, or Los Llanos de Aridane, followed by free time for lunch. A packed lunch is recommended.

Post lunch, we'll ascend to Roque de Los Muchachos, at 2426 meters (7960 feet), known for its stargazing conditions and views of the Taburiente Caldera. If time permits, we'll also attempt to spot El Hierro, La Gomera, and Tenerife Islands. The descent will occur along the eastern side of the island, stopping at Los Andenes Viewpoint for views of Barranco de Las Angustias, and concluding at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows and La Concepción Viewpoint with views of Santa Cruz de La Palma. We will return to the meeting point after 8 hours.
