Day Trip to Roque de los Muchachos

Day Trip Details

Pickup is available from a selected meeting point in La Palma, followed by a bus trip to Tajuya Square, a viewpoint shaped by the volcanic eruption of Tajogaite. Here, observe the new landscape created by this event. Next, we proceed to El Time, located 594 metres (1950 feet) above sea level, for views of the Aridane Valley and La Caldera de Taburinete National Park. Depending on the day, we will visit either Puntagorda to explore the Farmer's Market or Los Llanos de Aridane. There will be free time for lunch, so bring a packed meal.

Afterwards, we ascend to Roque de Los Muchachos, the highest point on the island at 2426 metres (7960 feet) above sea level, known for ideal stargazing. Enjoy spectacular views of the Taburiente Caldera, and possibly see El Hierro, La Gomera, and Tenerife Islands. Our return will take us down the eastern side of the island with a stop at Los Andenes Viewpoint for views of Barranco de Las Angustias, and we’ll conclude at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Snows and La Concepción Viewpoint for views of Santa Cruz de La Palma and the eastern coast. The tour lasts a total of 8 hours.
