Do you want to visit one of the most beautiful villages of La Palma? On this hiking route through Poris de Candelaria we'll enter a small village located inside a marine grotto. Welcome to paradise!

Poris de Candelaria Hiking Tour

Between 7:45 am and 9:45 am we'll pick you up at the meeting point of your choice and head to the northwest of La Palma. In Tijarafe, one of the most beautiful villages of the island awaits us.

We'll start the hiking route through the Poris de Candelaria entering the Jurado ravine, an amazing natural site with rock walls over 600 meters high (1968 feet). From this area, we'll enjoy views of the coast of La Palma.

On our 7-kilometres hike (4.3 miles) that will last five hours, we'll see the typical coastal flora of La Palma, as well as the birds, lizards and rabbits that inhabit this place.

We'll arrive at Jurado beach, a small coastal settlement that once served as a salt and fish port. From there, we'll begin the last stretch of the hike straight to Poris de Candelaria, a village located in a 50-meter-high (164 feet) marine grotto.

We'll leave you an hour of free time to take a dip in the harbour and enjoy your own picnic before returning.

Finally, we'll walk back to the bus and finish the route, leaving you at the initial meeting point.

This tour includes pick up in different areas of Fuencaliente, Santa Cruz de La Palma, Los Llanos de Aridane and Los Cancajos. Upon booking, you'll have to select one of the following meeting points:
