Poris de Candelaria Hiking Tour

Between 7:45 am and 9:45 am, we'll pick you up at your chosen meeting point and head to the northwest of La Palma. In Tijarafe, one of the most beautiful villages of the island awaits us.

We'll start the hiking route through the Poris de Candelaria entering the Jurado ravine, with rock walls over 600 meters high (1968 feet). From here, we'll enjoy views of the coast of La Palma.

Our 7-kilometre hike (4.3 miles) will last five hours, showcasing the typical coastal flora of La Palma and the local wildlife such as birds, lizards, and rabbits.

We'll arrive at Jurado beach, a former salt and fish port. From there, we'll proceed to Poris de Candelaria, a village situated in a 50-meter-high (164 feet) marine grotto.

Explore cave-houses over a century old and the image of the Virgin of Candelaria against the sea's vivid blue. Enjoy an hour of free time to swim and have a picnic before returning.

Finally, we'll walk back to the bus and finish the route, dropping you off at the initial meeting point.
