Roque de los Muchachos Hike

At the predetermined time, a bus will pick you up from your selected meeting point. Our journey will kick off along a winding road leading us to the summit of the island: Roque de los Muchachos.

After disembarking from the minibus, we will embark on our moderate hiking trail within the breathtaking scenery of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. This path traces the rim of the crater, providing views of several observatories situated in the park, along with the enchanting cloud cover that hovers over the island's northern regions. A perfect opportunity for stunning photographs awaits!

As we progress, we will encounter diverse flora, including cedars, laburnum, broom, pansies, and tajinastes, which in springtime, paint the island in vibrant colors. The track will take us across a notable basalt rock formation known as Roberto's Wall, steeped in local legend.

The hiking circuit, spanning about 7 kilometres (4.3 miles), will also lead us to Pico de la Cruz, the nearest point to the renowned Roque de los Muchachos. Here, we will pause to admire the scenery one last time, and if conditions are favorable, relish the panoramic views of El Hierro, La Gomera, and Tenerife.

As our journey concludes, we will make our way back to the starting location and part ways after spending between 4 to 5 memorable hours together.
