Southern La Palma Full-Day Tour

Explore the striking landscape of Fuencaliente on a full-day trip to the south of La Palma and discover Tajogaite, the youngest volcano of the Canary Islands.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your chosen meeting point, and from there, we'll make our way towards the southern area of La Palma, the beautiful island of the Canaries.

First, we'll travel to the municipality of Fuencaliente in La Palma, where we'll see the landscapes of San Antonio and the Teneguía Volcanos. The former last erupted in 1677, while the latter last erupted in 1971.

Next, we'll continue our tour next to the lighthouse and the salt flats. We will then stop at Las Manchas: a neighbourhood belonging to the municipalities of El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane, where in September 2021 the eruption of Tajogaite Volcano took place. Here, we'll stop off at the Plaza de La Glorieta, whose mosaics are inspired by Gaudí's works.

From there, we'll head to Plaza de Tajuya, where the viewpoint allows us to see the 2021 eruptions. Afterward, we'll take a break for an hour in the municipality of El Paso to grab a bite to eat.

After the break, we'll climb up to the La Cumbrecita viewpoint, offering us remarkable views of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. Following this, we'll visit another outstanding spot: the Mirador del Llano del Jable.

Our last stop will be at the Llano de Las Ventas viewpoint, and from there, we'll return to the different meeting points, concluding our tour after 8 hours together.
