Southern La Palma Full-Day Tour

Explore the striking landscape of Fuencaliente on a full-day trip to the south of La Palma and discover Tajogaite, the youngest volcano of the Canary Islands.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your selected meeting point and head towards the southern area of La Palma.

We will first visit the municipality of Fuencaliente, viewing the San Antonio and Teneguía Volcanos, with the former last erupting in 1677 and the latter in 1971.

Next, we will tour near the lighthouse and salt flats, proceeding to Las Manchas in El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane, where the eruption of Tajogaite Volcano occurred in September 2021. In Las Manchas, we will visit the Plaza de La Glorieta, featuring mosaics inspired by Gaudí.

A stop at Plaza de Tajuya will allow us to view the site of the 2021 eruptions. Afterward, we will take an hour-long break in El Paso for lunch.

After the break, we'll visit the La Cumbrecita viewpoint for views of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, and then proceed to the Mirador del Llano del Jable.

Our final stop will be at the Llano de Las Ventas viewpoint, before returning to the various pickup points and concluding the tour after 8 hours.
