Explore the landscape of Fuencaliente on a full-day trip to the south of La Palma and discover Tajogaite, the youngest volcano of the Canary Islands.
Description
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your chosen meeting point and head towards the southern area of La Palma.
We will travel to the municipality of Fuencaliente, viewing the San Antonio and Teneguía Volcanos. San Antonio last erupted in 1677 and Teneguía in 1971.
Next, we will visit the lighthouse and the salt flats before stopping in Las Manchas, where the eruption of Tajogaite Volcano occurred in September 2021. We will stop at Plaza de La Glorieta, featuring mosaics inspired by Gaudí.
Afterward, we will proceed to Plaza de Tajuya for a viewpoint of the 2021 eruptions. We will then have an hour-long break in El Paso for lunch.
Post-lunch, we will visit the La Cumbrecita viewpoint for views of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, followed by a visit to the Mirador del Llano del Jable.
Our final stop will be at the Llano de Las Ventas viewpoint before returning to the pickup points, concluding the tour after 8 hours.
