Explore the landscape of Fuencaliente on a full-day trip to the south of La Palma and discover Tajogaite, the youngest volcano of the Canary Islands.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your chosen meeting point and head towards the southern area of La Palma. Our first stop will be in the municipality of Fuencaliente, where we will view the San Antonio and Teneguía Volcanoes. The San Antonio Volcano last erupted in 1677, while the Teneguía erupted in 1971.

Next, we will visit the lighthouse and salt flats, followed by a stop in Las Manchas, where the eruption of Tajogaite Volcano occurred in September 2021. We will pause at Plaza de La Glorieta, known for its mosaics inspired by Gaudí. Then we will proceed to Plaza de Tajuya, which offers a viewpoint of the 2021 eruptions. We will take an hour-long break in El Paso for lunch.

After the break, we will ascend to the La Cumbrecita viewpoint for views of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, followed by a visit to Mirador del Llano del Jable. The final stop will be the Llano de Las Ventas viewpoint, after which we will return to the meeting points, concluding the tour after 8 hours.
