What is the Palmetum?
Located south of Santa Cruz de Tenerife's port, the Palmetum spans nearly 30 acres (12 hectares) atop an artificial hill that was once a landfill site. Today, this extensive park features stunning ocean views and hosts a vast collection of flora, particularly palms and native island plants.

The Palmetum de Santa Cruz de Tenerife boasts the largest collection of palms in Europe, with over 500 different species. The botanical garden is divided into various biogeographic zones where plants from islands worldwide coexist, offering a glimpse into the flora native to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Melanesia, Australia, Madagascar, and of course, the Canary Islands.
