Abra de Canasi Hike + Snorkelling

At 9:15 am, we will meet at Abra de Canasí, near Boca de Canasí, to start the trekking route through this natural reserve in northern Cuba. We will first meet a family of fishermen who will provide breakfast with coffee, toast, and fruit. After breakfast, we will cross the Canasí River on foot to reach a trail for a 30-minute expedition through a dense forest of coves, palms, seedlings, and yagrumas.

Upon completing the trek, we will arrive at a spot known as La Cazuela, offering views of the Atlantic. Participants are encouraged to take photos before donning snorkelling gear to explore the underwater environment, observing tropical fish, turtles, and coloured elkhorn corals. Lunch will consist of a light meal, including a sandwich, an appetizer, fruit, and water, which will be provided in the forest as a break. After lunch, we will return to the meeting point, concluding the experience at 3 pm.
