Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Maceió at the designated time and begin our trip to explore Quilombo dos Palmares, one of the largest quilombos in Brazil.

Founded in the 17th century, it served as a refuge for enslaved people who escaped and became a symbol of resistance. You'll learn about this historical moment during our visit.

After a road journey, we'll engage in a guided tour of the Sierra da Barriga, a mountain of cultural significance. This will include insights about the community, their leaders, and their resistance.

Following the tour, we'll dine at Baobá restaurant, known for its Afro-Indigenous cuisine, featuring local dishes like moqueca that celebrate the region's cultural heritage.

Post-lunch, we'll return to Maceió, approximately a 2-hour journey, concluding our day trip at your hotel after a total duration of 12 hours.
