Day Trip to the São Francisco River Mouth

If you're in Maceió, you can't miss the chance to see a unique riverbed on this day trip to the São Francisco River. We'll also visit Piaçabuçu and its dunes.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Maceió to begin our 2-hour journey to the mouth of the São Francisco River. We will travel 110 kilometres (68 miles) to reach our first stop, the municipality of Piaçabuçu, where we will explore the city's culture linked to the riverbed.

We will visit the Maraná restaurant to sample typical delicacies before embarking on the main activity. We'll explore the mouth of the São Francisco River by boarding a boat for a 3-hour voyage along Velho Chico. We will see Alagoas on one shore and Sergipe on the other as we are on the border between these two states.

During the trip, you can enjoy views of the jungle and local life. After the boat trip, we will return to Piaçabuçu and then travel back to Maceió, concluding the activity 10 hours after pickup.
