Penedo Tour

History and nature combine perfectly on this excursion to Penedo. In this picturesque village in the state of Alagoas we will also enjoy a boat trip on the São Francisco River to the river island of Recanto.

Penedo Tour

We'll depart at 5 am from your hotel in Maceió heading towards Penedo. Upon arrival, you'll have time for breakfast at a centrally located café. Afterwards, we'll go to the town's dock for a boat ride on the Sao Francisco River, enjoying the natural scenery.

The trip ends at Recanto Island, where you may swim in the Sao Francisco River. After the swim, we return by boat to the departure pier, where you'll have an hour to have lunch at one of the restaurants overlooking the river.

Post-lunch, a guided tour of the historic centre of Penedo follows. Here, notable sites include the façade of the Teatro Sete de Setembro and the main churches, like the church of Nossa Senhora das Cadenas.

At the end of the tour, we will return to your hotel in Maceió, arriving by 8 pm.
