Day Trip Details

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Maceió at the designated time. Once we're ready, we'll set off on a 14-mile (23-kilometer) drive toward the Praia do Francês. Upon arrival at the beach in Marechal Deodoro, you'll have 5 hours of free time at Tropical restaurant, where you can relax, enjoy the turquoise waters, and practice aquatic sports. You may also experience the local cuisine.

Next, we'll return to Maceió for a scenic tour of the City of Smiles, starting in the neighborhood of Jaraguá, the birthplace of Alagoan culture. The historic center features narrow streets, 19th-century houses, and shops. We will visit the Museum of Image and Sound, Associação Comercial de Maceió, and various squares: Praça Marsílio Dias, Praça Visconde de Sinimbú, Praça Floriano Peixoto, and Praça Dom Pedro II. You'll also see churches, including Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres, Bom Jesus dos Martírios, and the Maceió Metropolitan Cathedral, inaugurated in 1856.

Before concluding our tour, we will visit important buildings like the Palácio de Governo, Deodoro Theater, and the Academy of Letters of Alagoas. A brief stop at the lookout at São Gonçalo do Amarante will allow for scenic views. We’ll also stop at the Crafts Pavilion for traditional artisanal crafts before returning to your hotel. The tour lasts approximately 9 hours.
