If there is one thing we love about Portugal it's its typical multicoloured tiles. With this workshop you'll have the opportunity to decorate one yourself - you'll become a real artist!
Tile Decorating Workshop
At the scheduled time, we'll welcome you to the tile workshop located in Paços de Brandão, less than 15 minutes drive from Santa Maria da Feira.
We'll begin with a brief introduction to the technique used by the craftsmen themselves, which has over five centuries of history. The Arabs made this type of decoration fashionable. Before starting, we'll view some pieces made by the masters, which you can use as examples for your own design.
Get ready to become a tile artist. You can decorate your own tile using one or several colours, and decide between an abstract or figurative design, letting your imagination flow while having fun painting.
Once you've finished, we'll put the tiles in the kiln while you enjoy a delicious snack. If you wish, we can send the tiles to your home as a souvenir. After an hour and a half, we'll conclude the workshop and say goodbye.
