If there is one thing we love about Portugal it's its typical multicoloured tiles. With this workshop you'll have the opportunity to decorate one yourself - you'll become a real artist!
Tile Decorating Workshop
At the scheduled time, we'll welcome you to the tile workshop located in Paços de Brandão, less than 15 minutes drive from Santa Maria da Feira.
We'll begin with a brief introduction to the technique used by the craftsmen themselves, a practice with over five centuries of history. The Arabs popularized this type of decoration. Before starting, we'll view some pieces made by the masters, which can inspire your own design.
Are you ready to become a tile artist? You can decorate your own tile in one color or several colors and choose between abstract or figurative designs. Express your imagination while painting.
Once you finish your tile, we'll place them in the kiln to fire while you enjoy a snack.
If you wish, we can send the tiles to your home as a souvenir of the experience. After an hour and a half, we'll conclude the workshop and say goodbye.
