If there is one thing we love about Portugal it's its typical multicoloured tiles. With this workshop you'll have the opportunity to decorate one yourself - you'll become a real artist!
Tile Decorating Workshop
At the scheduled time, we'll welcome you to the tile workshop located in Paços de Brandão, less than 15 minutes drive from Santa Maria da Feira.
We'll begin with a brief introduction to the technique used by the craftsmen, which has over five centuries of history. The Arabs were instrumental in making this type of decoration fashionable. Before starting, we'll view some pieces created by the masters for inspiration.
You'll then decorate your own tile, choosing one colour or several, with abstract or figurative designs. You can express your creativity while enjoying the painting process.
After your creation, we'll place the tiles in the kiln to fire while you take a break with a delicious snack.
If desired, we can send the tiles to your home as a nice souvenir. After an hour and a half, we'll conclude the workshop and say goodbye.
