Description

This culinary journey through Huatulco invites you to explore the rich flavors and cultural heritage of Oaxaca. Experience the vibrancy of local traditions as we engage with a herbalist, tour a mezcal distillery, and discover the art of making corn tortillas.

Itinerary

Your adventure starts at 10 am with a pickup from your hotel in Huatulco, setting the stage for an exploration of Mexican culinary customs.

First, we'll journey to Piedra de Moros, a charming community situated close to Huatulco, where you'll immerse yourself in local culture. Upon arrival, we will visit a herbalist's shop to uncover the significance of medicinal plants in the region's way of life.

During our time at the plantation, we'll gain insights into the diverse medicinal plants grown locally, including their healing properties and various applications.

After our informative visit, we'll move on to the kitchens for an engaging culinary session. Here, you will learn to prepare corn tortillas and traditional bread, accompanied by refreshing lemon grass tea while also discovering the health benefits of the nopal cactus.

As a highlight of our tour, we will visit a mezcal factory to observe the intricate distillation process of this iconic Oaxacan spirit. The experience culminates with a tasting of several varieties of mezcal and creams, paired with local delicacies.
