On this mezcal tour in Huatulco, we'll visit the agave fields that produce one of Mexico's most popular drinks and taste different varieties.

“Para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien, también.” This saying celebrates mezcal for all occasions. We'll pick you up at 9 am at your hotel in Huatulco and head north.

After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive in Santa María Huatulco. On the outskirts of this town, we'll visit an agave field to learn about mezcal cultivation and the origins of this popular beverage.

Next, we'll hike to Loma Bonita for views of the extensive valley where agave plants grow, showcasing favorable climatic conditions for this crop.

After enjoying the scenery, we'll visit the palenque, where the distillates are made. A tasting of Oaxacan mezcals will follow, featuring both traditional and medicinal varieties.

After the tasting, we'll enjoy a lunch of beans, white rice, black and red mole with chicken (leg or thigh), and a beverage of either coffee or fruit-flavored water, based on your preference.

After lunch, we'll return to your hotel in Huatulco, arriving at 2 pm.
