Huatulco Mezcal Tour
“Para todo mal, mezcal, y para todo bien, también.” This saying celebrates mezcal. We will pick you up at 9 am at your hotel in Huatulco and head north.
After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive in Santa María Huatulco. On the outskirts, we will visit an agave field to learn how the plant for mezcal is cultivated and discover the origins of this distillate.
Next, we will hike up to Loma Bonita for views of the valley where agave grows, taking in the favorable climatic conditions in Oaxaca.
We will then visit the palenque, where distillates are made, for a tasting of Oaxacan mezcals, including both traditional and medicinal varieties.
After the tasting, a lunch will be served, consisting of beans, white rice, black and red mole with chicken (choice of leg or thigh), and a beverage (coffee or fruit-flavored water).
We will return to your hotel in Huatulco, arriving at 2 pm.
