Oaxaca 2 Day Tour

Day 1: Huatulco - Oaxaca

Pickup at 6 am at your hotel in Huatulco to depart for Jalapa del Marqués for breakfast. Continue on the Mezcal Route, visiting Santiago Matatlán and San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya for a 2-hour tour learning about mezcal production. Next, visit the archaeological site of Mitla, notable for its old houses and Mixtec ritual spaces. Continue to Teotitlán del Valle for traditional rugs and see the Santa María del Tule millenary tree, over 2000 years old. Arrive in Oaxaca City at 3:30 pm, visit Santo Domingo de Guzmán and its museum, then check in to your hotel with the rest of the day free.

Day 2: Oaxaca - Huatulco

Departure from the hotel at 8 am for Monte Albán, the former Zapotec capital. Return to Oaxaca to visit the Benito Juárez handicraft market. Proceed to San Bartolo Coyotepec for black clay figures, followed by a visit to San Antonio Arrazola or San Martin Tilcajete to learn about alebrijes. A lunch break in San José del Pacífico at 4 pm before heading back to Huatulco, arriving at 8 pm.
