Live two unique experiences in Puerto Escondido: free recently hatched turtles and enjoy the spectacle of bioluminescence in the Manialtepec lagoon.

Turtle Release + Laguna de Manialtepec Evening Tour

After hotel pickup at the scheduled time, we will travel to Puerto Escondido, arriving at the turtle camp after 2 hours and 30 minutes. This camp is dedicated to the protection of sea turtles.

You will participate in freeing recently hatched turtles, involving three types of endangered turtles native to Oaxaca. This activity takes place at sunset on a serene beach, creating a memorable experience.

Following the turtle release, we will head to the Manialtepec Lagoon, an important site in Puerto Escondido. Here, you will board a boat to witness the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence.

This phenomenon occurs due to microorganisms in the water that emit light when disturbed, creating a spectacle reminiscent of shooting stars beneath the sea. Swimming in the lagoon allows you to see your body illuminated by these organisms.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel in Huatulco, approximately nine hours after departure.
