Jesuit Block and Estancias of Cordoba Tour
Pick up starts at your hotel in Cordoba at 9 am for the tour of the Society of Jesus buildings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover their cultural significance and historical ties to Argentina.
First, we will visit the city of Colonia Caroya and the Estancia Caroya Museum, the first estancia of the Jesuits in the area. Here, explore the rooms where the monks lived in the 17th century.
Next, we will head to the Jesús María Estancia, home to the Jesuit Estancia de San Isidro el Labrador. This location provides insights into the religious community's history, including their mills and vineyards.
We will continue for another 30 minutes to the Santa Catalina Estancia, founded in 1622. This building, featuring a Baroque-style historical church, will enhance your understanding of the Society of Jesus' lifestyle.
Following some free time for lunch, we will return to Cordoba, passing through towns such as Ascochinga and La Granja. Drop-off at your hotels is expected around 7 pm.
