Tour Highlights

We’ll meet at the Morabeza Hotel, the first accommodation built on Sal Island. Upon gathering, we’ll commence our tour through Santa Maria.

The journey starts with a walk down the vibrant main street, featuring bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops. We will then move to the North zone to discuss the first houses built in the city.

The tour includes a visit to the lively Municipal Market and a stop at the Municipal Fountain, where locals collect water for homes lacking running services.

Subsequently, we will visit the Salt Museum to discover the history of the salt industry that defined the island. The tour concludes at the Pontao de Santa María.

After 3 hours of exploration, learning, and enjoyment in Santa Maria, we will conclude the tour.
