Such quotes underscore the significance of Gabriel García Márquez's work, One Hundred Years of Solitude, within the 20th-century literary landscape. At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Santa Marta to commence our journey to this iconic literary birthplace.
Our trip, lasting approximately 90 minutes, will bring us to Aracataca. Here, García Márquez, a recipient of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982, drew inspiration for the creation of Macondo.
