Join us on our day trip to Barranquilla and discover one of the popular cities in Colombia with a vibrant culture and traditions.

Barranquilla Day Trip

We will pick you up at 6:30 am from your accommodation in Santa Marta and head to Barranquilla, which is around 2 hours away.

Upon arrival, we will tour the El Prado neighbourhood, notable for its first application of modern urban planning principles, featuring elegant houses. We will pause at the façade of the Amira de la Rosa Theatre, named after the lyricist of Barranquilla's anthem.

Next, we will visit the Plaza de la Aduana, the gateway to the city centre. We will walk through narrow streets to appreciate the exterior of the Metropolitan Cathedral and the iconic Museum of the Caribbean.

We will then arrive at the Cumbiódromo, a gathering place for the Carnival of Barranquilla, regarded as the most important folkloric event in Colombia.

After a day of exploration, we will return to Santa Marta and drop you off at your hotel by 2:30 pm.
